mapping
Get your own map and come ask me where to go. There is too much cool stuff to put in a conceptual mapping project. Plus I still have no idea about what this project is supposed to be. Leiden is tiny so I am sure you can find your way around.

Post Beirut
Hello internet people. So I have not blogged since before Beirut because, to be honest, it was too much fun to spend any of the time in front of a computer screen. The weather was amazing the whole time, even in the morning when the rain would come for half an hour, the sun would still be peaking through. Not only was the weather a huge plus but the food was amazing as well. For one of my projects I chose to focus on traditional Lebanese cuisine, which is some of the best in the world. My second project was on building reconstruction post 2006 war. There are photos following.

Flip Book
Hello internet people. Today in class we finished our flip books project. The point of the project was to explore aspects of a small screen and try to better understand the differences between media for a large screen and media for a small screen. I chose to to focus on color contrast and motion through out the flip book. My flip book is a series of photographs taken outside of a girl "dancing"/"moving" while twirling her hair. The background is a yellow and white wall with a black door in between. Most of the photos worked because of the dark clothing against a light colored wall. However, some of the photos were a fail because of the dark clothing against the black door. Another problem was the close up shots worked really well because of their detail but the longer shots may have had too much detail and the person gets lost in that detail. Over all the project was fun and interesting, however the construction of the the project could have been improved.
